Description:
AK47 is one of the older series from Tokyo Marui, but is still excellent value for money. Marui's design resembles the real AK47 in every detail and even it's plastic stock and hand guards resemble real wood to extend that it's hard to tell the difference until you actually touch the gun.
Since Marui's older designs do not feature the now popular field-take down, its performance is very stable and accurate. It is still very much effective in ranges up to 200 feet (60m) without any upgrades and can be regarded as one of the best performing rifles in Tokyo Marui’s line-up. Long inner barrel also enhances Marui AK47 range and accuracy.
In short, Marui's AK47 is nearly perfect in appearance and performance. If you want to have even more realistic feel then you can replace the stock and hand guard with CAW or Guarder wooden parts. Also, DTP is selling metal body for AK47 to give that real gun feel and durability.
When it comes to ergonomics don't expect the latest tactical features, because AK47 is one of the traditional Soviet designs. The real gun was introduced shortly after the World War II and was based on the world first assault rifle design: The German Stg44. AK47 was simple, easy-to-use and combat effective rifle that went on to become the worlds most widespread assault rifle with more than 50 million rifles manufactured. For airsoft gaming purposes, AK47 is regarded as the weapon-of-choice for any guerrilla or third-world military units. However, keep in mind that some special forces and intelligence agencies employ AK47 for covert operations that require untraceable weapons.
